LINK TO CANON HISTORY: Here ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Neutral PERSONALITY: Eric is the vampire with the cat-got-the-canary smile. You never quite know what he’s up to, you never know if he can be trusted, and chances are, you can’t. He’s an opportunist at heart and will always play a situation to his advantage. Whether it’s just gaining information or giving someone a mindfuck because he’s bored – he has a sense of humour. It’s just barbed and dangerous just like the rest of him. He doesn’t like too many humans and refers to them as ‘breathers,’ but assume if he does like a human, it’s because she’s small, physically attractive, and blonde. He has a type and he WILL try to seduce women just because he can. If one word were used to describe his behaviour, sexual wouldn’t be too far from the mark. Every movement is more akin to a predator’s than a man’s and if he isn’t trying to seduce, he’s trying to intimidate. Eric has a short fuse and though his age allows for him to control himself, he still has a definite bloodlust and enjoys a good confrontation. Especially if he gets to kill the opposition in the end. He’s absolutely brutal and vicious if you cross him and overconfident doesn’t even begin to describe his behaviour when he’s in a heated battle with someone or something. Yet that’s not to say he’s completely cold and heartless either. He has soft spots for certain women in his life – namely his progeny Pam, former lover Sookie Stackhouse, and sister Nora. He’s extremely protective of all of them and will go to great lengths to make certain they’re safe. He refuses to acknowledge this side of him often however, and only Sookie’s ever really managed to make him ADMIT to feeling human now and again. He’s capable of both love and lust, but it’s also difficult for Eric to tell the difference between the two because he’s just that jaded. ASSETS: Eric is both extremely cunning and tends to be just one step ahead of anyone who opposes him. He tends to work moment to moment, often flying by the seat of his trousers, but he likes the game. He’s both a Viking warrior and a predator and when you see everyone as prey, you tend to look at everything as a hunt. Or a war. It really depends. He’s also exceedingly loyal to the select few who get close to him and when it comes to those people, there’s very little he won’t do for them. If they ask him to save their friends, he might just do it. He might refuse or bitch about it, but in the end, he’ll come through because of what the asker means to him. This might end in a few threats or an argument later, but take what you get. Eric’s no bullshitter unless he has to be and when he has to be, his manipulation tactics are pretty solid. So you can’t really trust him…but he’s more fun that way anyway. LIABILITIES: Eric’s overconfidence and his temper tend to get in the way of reason. His habit of fixating on a certain barmaid tends to get him into trouble as well, but when he digs himself out of one hole, he tends to fall into another as a result. He also tends to refuse help from anyone, making him exceedingly stubborn and his believing that he’s absolutely right all the time can be a massive problem. He’ll also go and confront someone if he feels it’s necessary, relying on intimidation tactics alone. His impulsiveness in all areas wouldn’t be so bad, except he also rarely deigns to tell anyone else what his plan is. INVENTORY: One cell phone, one black suit with black button down (will be at the apartment since he can’t be walking around in the prison guard uniform – he’d rather die), a belly full of Warlow's blood, and little else.
